Pinkbabybasket2 Abilene Birth and Doula Associates has proudly served the expectant mothers and families of Abilene, Texas and the Big Country, since 2009!  We strive to offer premier birth services and postpartum birth services, including education, relaxation techniques, comfort measures, positions to shorten labor, and a consistent presence before, during and after your birth.

As doulas, we educate women about their options during pregnancy, childbirth and in the postpartum. Our doulas will bring confidence to you and your partner and complement your existing birth team!  We want you to enjoy your new baby and the experience of childbirth.  Our belief is that every woman is different as well as the goals she has for her birth.  We offer options and assistance in whichever way you to choose to birth...planned cesarean, induction or natural childbirth, with no agenda.  Our goal is for you to feel that you made your own decisions and that they were informed decisons. That's our hope for you!

Maternity1Most women who hire doulas:

*would like labor to begin on its own

*could use help in the success of breastfeeding their baby

*are worried that their partner might need help in knowing how to make them feel more comfortable, and have concern for their partner's need for reassurance in the process

*have felt that having a one-on-one support person would help them

*want to learn the best ways to convey their wishes to the medical staff, in non-emergency circumstances

*are afraid that they might not remember or know what to do to make labor progress

*want to labor at home as long as possible, but aren't sure if they will know when to go to the hospital
