Our newest addition, caring for the Brownwood/Early community and surrounding areas, is Amanda Mason!
Amanda has been a birth and postpartum doula since 2013. She began in 2010 as an advocate for parental rights and strengthening the family unit as she volunteered in her local community food bank and thrift store in Houston, TX. While seeing families struggle in poverty, her heart was touched by the lack of resources specifically geared towards pregnant women and young children in her area. She developed a passion for helping families and began training as a birth doula. Amanda attended several classes and workshops to develop the skills to support a laboring mother and also self-trained as a postpartum doula. While certifying for Childbirth Education, she built her own curriculum, as required. Having recently relocated, she is committed to providing resources and support to her local community and the surrounding areas of Early and Brownwood, Texas. She has been married for 9 years and has 4 children.
"Every mother is different just as every birth is different. My goal is to empower women not only to be aware of their options but to make decisions they feel are best for themselves, their babies, and their families. Every woman deserves respect in the wonderful, beautiful, life-altering event- giving birth to another human being.
I believe that there is no right or wrong way to give birth, only what is right for each individual woman. I believe that every woman intuitively knows the decisions that are best for her. It is my job to help support, guide and assist my client in achieving her goals."
